In answer to the question "why did you join Simcoe Speakers"
· For me it's getting comfortable speaking to a large audience.
· I immigrated to Canada a few years ago. Language is my biggest barrier. Whenever I thought about my language, I lost my confidence completely. It always make me frustrated. One of my friend joined TM and I can see his change. So why not try? So far I think I gained some confidence back.
· The convenient time and location are the things that first attracted me to this club.
· In my job or at work, we have team meetings and I want to express my ideas and facilitate a meeting. I decided to join the Toastmasters club to build my confidence and to develop my leadership skills and communication skills. Thanks
· I got seriously interested in TM through one of the members who inspired me.
· I went to other TM Clubs in the past prior to joining Simcoe Speakers, whether it was timing or lack of confidence but I did not end up joining then. Years later, I started to realise that "Being shy was getting in the way of what I want in life". All the possibilities of what could be... if I can only ask for it.
Simcoe Speakers is one of the most supportive and encouraging clubs that I have the privilege of calling my home.
